Our Veterinarian: Jody Silvernagle
Jodi was born and raised in Calgary. She developed her love for animals through family pets and frequent visits to the family farm near Hanna. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Calgary then headed off to Saskatoon for four years to attain her veterinary degree from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. Jodi and her husband Chad have lived in Strathmore for the past 4 years and have enjoyed the community very much. Chad performed the interior construction of the Animal Care Centre – we are all very proud of the work he has done. Aside from looking after her golden retriever ‘Sadie’, Jodi loves to play and coach sports including ringette and hockey. She also enjoys going out for steak sandwiches or wings (hint, hint)!
The Animal Care Centre of Strathmore offers complete veterinary services encompassing the following:
- Preventative care for young, adult and maturing pets.
- Medical and emergency care for your sick pet.
- Preventative and therapeutic surgeries.
- Dentistry with dental x-ray.
- Digital x-rays.
- Ophthalmological exams.
- In-house laboratory equipment to run bloodwork and urinalysis.
- In-house pharmacy.
- Isolation ward for treating animals with infectious disease.
- On farm preventative and emergency service for large animals
